Purpose Of UG Recovery Groups
The purpose of Underground Support groups is to provide support, guidance and accountability to women whose husbands struggle with various forms of Sexual Addiction and how they have been wounded by their husbands struggle. The groups are divided into sections of sharing and personal reflection to a time of learning from a trained group facilitator. Groups last anywhere between 1 to 1 1/2 hours in length. Our desire is to see women restored to a place of peace and wholeness.

Life Guide For Spouses
The L.I.F.E. Guide for spouses is a 21-assignment recovery workbook for spouses of men or women battling sexual addiction. The L.I.F.E. Guide workbook is a biblically-based, time-tested, effective tool in assisting spouses to recover from their partner’s sexual addiction – whether the addict is in recovery or not. This workbook is not for women dealing with sexual addiction.
This workbook will introduce a new way of looking at recovery and transformation in our lives. While the workbook is easy enough to follow alone, it is highly recommended that it be used in conjunction with a L.I.F.E. support group. By participating in a group, one enters a safe-environment of others on the same journey creating a support structure.
The L.I.F.E. Guide for Spouses was edited by Dr. Mark Laaser, the foremost Christian authority on sexual addiction recovery and Debbie, his wife, an experienced spouse of a recovering addict.
Who attends these meetings? In the men’s meeting, everyone in the room has struggled with pornography and masturbation. Some of the men have taken sexual sin further, like adulterous affairs or prostitution. In the wive's meeting, a woman married to a man who struggles in any of these areas of sexual sin are welcome to attend.
All groups are confidential and anonymous. Everyone must be verified through the group facilitator before the date, time, and location information will be disclosed. This is done to foster a safe environment for all participants.
How much does it cost? Other than the cost of the workbook ($30), there is no cost. The groups are free to attend, but a collection will be taken so that the group (as a whole) can be a blessing to others in the future. Alcoholics Anonymous would not have grown to help people worldwide without the contributions from their participants. All are welcome, regardless of their ability to contribute.
We use workbooks and resources from LIFE Ministries (in Lake Mary, FL). LIFE Ministries is a Christ-centered sexual addiction recovery ministry that provides the Christian community with structure, support, and resources to battle sexual addiction.
